I have to admit that I felt left out. Charles Richter has one for earthquakes. Anders Celsius and Daniel Fahrenheit have one each for temperature. Tetsua Fujita has his own for tornados.
Building on the work of my esteemed predecessors I have created a scale for measuring depression, the only natural disaster I am personally familiar with. Based on decades of non-peer-reviewed, non-rigorous research and non-reproducible personal observations, it offers a clear, non-objective standard of measurement that I hope will serve the medical profession for many years to come.
